Valley Ductless was born out of a growing need we saw in our community. Cold-climate heat pump technology has come a long way in recent years, and these systems are gaining popularity fast due to their energy efficiency, comfort, and versatility. As more homeowners began searching for smarter, more sustainable ways to heat and cool their homes—especially in demanding mountain environments—it became clear that they needed a partner who truly understood both the technology and the conditions it must perform in.
Recognizing this shift, we set out to build a company grounded in expertise, transparency, and craftsmanship. Rather than offering heat pumps as just another service, we chose to focus on them intentionally, developing specialized knowledge that allows us to design and install systems with confidence and precision. Our goal has always been to help homeowners make informed decisions, not rushed ones, so they can invest in solutions that serve them well for years to come.
Our mission is to provide reliable, high-quality heat pump solutions tailored to each home, while delivering honest guidance, expert craftsmanship, and long-term value to our customers. We take the time to understand how you live in your space—your comfort preferences, energy goals, and future plans—so the system we design supports your lifestyle as much as it supports your home.
Hi, I’m James Graycheck, the owner of Valley Ductless. I started this business after seeing a real need in our mountain communities for cold-climate heat pump systems that are thoughtfully designed, properly installed, and fairly priced. At this point, I handle nearly everything for Valley Ductless. All installation and service work, scheduling, marketing, and more. When you call, it will be me who answers the phone. And I look forward to talking with you! When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three daughters, fly fishing, floating down a river with some friends, snowboarding, and traveling.
